Codemasters’ GRID 2019 gets delayed by a month

Codemasters’ 2019 reboot of GRID will be coming out a month later than expected. Instead of launching during September, GRID 2019 has been moved to an October release date.
According to developer Codemasters, this delay is so the team can give some “added exposure” to the title. While many in the racing game niche know of the title, not many mainstream gamers are aware.

Hopefully, the extra month of development will also give the game some extra spit and polish before release.
Original Story:
Codemasters’ awesome racing series GRID is returning this year.
Releasing on September 13th 2019, GRID invites players to take the wheel in action-packed races on four continents.
While it is actually the fourth game in the GRID series, this reboot has abandoned numbers and subtitles altogether. I guess we can consider this a reboot for one of Codemaster’s best racing titles.
GRID is a series that our community loves, and we’re very excited to bring it to the next-generation consoles ,” says Chris Smith, GRID Game Director at Codemasters. “The game offers a lot of variety and depth, with many modern or legendary cars to drive in different locations and in different racing formats. Renowned for its grip, the game will appeal to all types of players, whether they are just there to have fun or they are fans of more serious simulations.
Releasing on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, GRID 2019 is reminiscent of last generation’s GRID 2. While the second game launched right as the next generation was ramping up, many thought the game’s visuals would be impossible on the last-gen machines. Codemasters proved everyone wrong, and now they look set to do it again.

Codemasters have provided us with some fantastic racers this generation. Dirt Rally, Dirt 4 and Dirt Rally 2 all provided us with awesome rally experiences, but now it’s time to embrace Codemasters’ fantastic circuit races again. Bring on GRID!
