Borderlands 3 won’t feature cross-play at launch

A tweet from Randy Pitchford has revealed that the extremely hotly anticipated and long awaited Borderlands 3 will not have any sort of cross-play at launch.
However, that doesn’t mean that cross-play is completely out of the question.
Pitchford also said in his tweet that the team behind Borderlands “are committed to supporting cross-play for Borderlands 3 with our partners as soon as practicable after launch.”

The ‘thing tomorrow’ in question turned out to be a disproportionately hilarious trailer, by the way.
In summary: there’ll be no cross-play at launch for Borderlands 3, but there’s an extremely high chance of potential cross-play later.

We also took a lot of time back in April to break down the entire Borderlands 3 teaser poster, a feat which this journalist is still quite proud of.
To check out the full breakdown, including cracking A1Z26 ciphers, decoding some Morse code, and spending far too long being disgusted by Rhys’ new moustache, you can follow the link down the Borderlands rabbit hole here.
Borderlands 3 is out on September 13th, 2019. It’ll be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC.
